THIRSTY AND MISERABLE BURNING UP THE CHARTS!

What a way to wake up, this morning! All of St Rooster Books are currently kicking ass in downloads, but I was particularly heartened to see Thirsty and Miserable; A Critical Analysis of the Music of Black Flag is #5 in Music History and Criticism category in the Kindle Store. Not sure how many other books I'm actually up against, but it feels nice to see that number regardless. All of our other books are ran up their numbers as well. Hopefully everyone remembers to leave a review, because we indies live and die by those reviews and ratings! Anyway, lets celebrate with some Black Flag!

GETTING EVERYTHING YOU WANT IS HELL IN PAUL LUBACZEWSKI'S LATEST BOOK "A NEW LIFE"

St Rooster Books is proud to present Paul Lubaczewski's follow-up to his critically acclaimed debut novel I Never Eat...Cheesesteak, A New Life! A New Life drops on Friday, February 28th, 2020.
Austin is down on his luck, broke and homeless, but a chance encounter with two less than reputable men will set him on the path of getting what he wants in life, but he'll go through Hell to get it!
Paul's work has appeared across several publications and I Never Eat...Cheesesteak was published by 50/50 Press. We worked with him for the first time last year when his story "I Love Livin' in the City" appeared in Kids of the Black Hole; A Punksploitation Anthology. We're excited to present A New Life!
As much as fans and critics (myself included) loved I Never Eat...Cheesesteak, I expect people to be just as down with a A New Life. It has the perfect balance of character driven literary fiction and straight up tense horror. Steph is currently finishing up the cover (that's her work on Kids, above, if you don't know) and it's looking really cool and eye catching. I'm currently doing a final editing pass and we'll be blitzing social media when we get closer to the release date.

In the mean time, wanna win Paul's personal editing copy, bound and autographed by the man himself? Follow him on Twitter, @PaulLubaczewski, find the link to this post and tell Paul what your favorite horror movie is in the comments, using the hash tag #ANewLife.

THE GRAY MAN REVIEWED ON DIABOLIQUE

Check out this amazing review of my new novella, The Gray Man, by Miranda Chorcrain over at Diabolique Magazine! Totally blown away. Add this to great reviews from Becky Narron (Deadman's Tome Publishing) and Sam Richards (Weird Punk Books). Sales aren't great, but I've got to believe that the book is going to find it's audience, I'm really proud of it.  Click HERE to check out this thoughtful and in depth review!

I NEVER EAT...CHEESESTEAK by PAUL LUBACZEWSKI available for PRE-ORDER

Paul Lubaczewski will be appearing in our upcoming anthology, Kids of the Black Hole; A Punksploitation Anthology (available July 3rd), but before that, his debut novel, I Never Eat...Cheesesteak (50/50 Press LLC), is out June 10th and you can pre-order right NOW.

They say life is what happens when you're making other plans. It is also what happens when you need cash to record a demo, but that isn't as catchy in a song, or a meme. Al was coasting through life without a plan or a clue when he was offered a way to make quick cash without doing anything illegal, mainly because killing vampires is not technically against any laws. If he agrees he jump starts his musical career, but on the downside he has to combat the forces of undead evil, including their horrific fashion sense. Will Al survive? Will his punk rocker sister Angie finally dump her loser boyfriend? Will Al's girlfriend come to her senses and dump him? Will Al's gruff partner Abdiel become "woke"? (depends on your definition) Will the citizens of Philadelphia discover the dark festering evil that lurks in their very city?(other than Eagles fans) Will anyone eat an actual cheesesteak? The only way to find out is to read this book, because there will probably never be a Cliff Notes for this one!

I Never Eat...Cheesesteak sounds fun as hell and Paul's tale "I Love Livin' in the City," his contribution to Kids of the Black Hole, certainly is! Follow Paul on TWITTER to stay up to date on all his latest work.

THE GRAY MAN IS OUT NOW

What do you do when your family becomes your prison? Tim Murr, the author of Neon Sabbath, Motel on Fire, and City Long Suffering, takes you to a small town in East Tennessee, where a young family move into a home where a predatory spirit lies in wait with generations of tragic secrets pulsating just under the surface. THE GRAY MAN is Murr's most personal work to date and also his most horrifying.

My new novella, The Gray Man, is now live on both e and paperback formats, fiends! Featuring a gorgeous cover by Stephanie Murr, who also did the covers for Motel on Fire, Neon Sabbath, Conspiracy of Birds, and To Be One With You.

Becky Narron from Deadman's Tome Publishing said The Gray Man is "a wild, tense ride you won't forget...brilliantly written..."

THE GRAY MAN COVER REVEALED

"This house has a history. Houses with a history tend to have a lot to say."

Synopsis; In their early 20s, with three kids under five, the Martins are on the move a lot, because of the father's job. The mother is beginning to feel her family is a prison. The oldest boy is feeling increasingly lonely and isolated. The young family, already nearing a breaking point, moves into an old rental home, where a malevolent spirit will test the tenuous bond of their marriage and the relationship between parent and child.

"A wild tense ride you won’t forget. Old yellow eyes is the stuff true nightmares are made from. Brilliantly written with a cast of characters you feel like are part of your family. Totally engrossing."
