A New Life is the follow up to Paul's critically acclaimed horror-comedy I Never Eat...Cheesesteak, and drops February 28th!

"Down on his luck in Philadelphia, Austin found himself homeless and out of options, but a chance encounter with two men, named Nicky and Zion, will change his life forever. Unfortunately for Austin, it doesn't take him long to learn that getting everything you want can be Hell.
Things get bloody awful in the follow up to Paul Lubaczewski's critically acclaimed I NEVER EAT...CHEESESTEAK. Achieving a balance of literary fiction and pure horror, A NEW LIFE is smart and brutal with an emotional gravity. Lubaczewski gives us a psychological deep dive into the desperation of life on the jagged edges of society."

THIRSTY AND MISERABLE; A CRITICAL ANALYSIS OF THE MUSIC OF BLACK FLAG is now LIVE on KINDLE

The Kindle version of Thirsty and Miserable; A Critical Analysis of the Music of Black Flag just went live, fiends! The paperback should be available tomorrow and I'll post all the necessary links then. Get the E-book HERE.

"Horror author and journalist Tim Murr fell in love with Black Flag's music in high school and continues to find inspiration in their music today. THIRSTY AND MISERABLE; A CRITICAL ANALYSIS OF THE MUSIC OF BLACK FLAG reviews the band's entire discography from Nervous Breakdown to What The..? with some side roads into demos, art, and concert videos in between. THIRSTY AND MISERABLE is equal parts critique and love letter to a band that was a trailblazer in hardcore punk-that opened up the out of the way places across America for other bands to follow and defined and then redefined what hardcore was and what it could be."

Thanks to everyone who has shown interest in this book. I don't expect it to be huge or anything, but that's fine. It was a labor of love. Black Flag means a hell of a lot to me. Hope you all dig the book!

GETTING EVERYTHING YOU WANT IS HELL IN PAUL LUBACZEWSKI'S LATEST BOOK "A NEW LIFE"

St Rooster Books is proud to present Paul Lubaczewski's follow-up to his critically acclaimed debut novel I Never Eat...Cheesesteak, A New Life! A New Life drops on Friday, February 28th, 2020.
Austin is down on his luck, broke and homeless, but a chance encounter with two less than reputable men will set him on the path of getting what he wants in life, but he'll go through Hell to get it!
Paul's work has appeared across several publications and I Never Eat...Cheesesteak was published by 50/50 Press. We worked with him for the first time last year when his story "I Love Livin' in the City" appeared in Kids of the Black Hole; A Punksploitation Anthology. We're excited to present A New Life!
As much as fans and critics (myself included) loved I Never Eat...Cheesesteak, I expect people to be just as down with a A New Life. It has the perfect balance of character driven literary fiction and straight up tense horror. Steph is currently finishing up the cover (that's her work on Kids, above, if you don't know) and it's looking really cool and eye catching. I'm currently doing a final editing pass and we'll be blitzing social media when we get closer to the release date.

In the mean time, wanna win Paul's personal editing copy, bound and autographed by the man himself? Follow him on Twitter, @PaulLubaczewski, find the link to this post and tell Paul what your favorite horror movie is in the comments, using the hash tag #ANewLife.

Dropping next week is my first non-fiction book, Thirsty and Miserable; A Critical Analysis of the Music of Black Flag. I've been a massive fan of Black Flag's music for years and have wanted to do a deep dive tribute to the band for some time, that became this slim volume of reviews of every official release along with some side roads into demos, videos, and live films. The cover price will $6, nice and cheap. I'll provide links here and all over social media when it goes live. In the meantime, enjoy some Flag...
